| So Monday was probably one of the windiest days ever made even more monumental with the huge ocean swells rolling in...so worthy of some coverage (see web page here) particularly as Rob went for it on his home made 1.9m sail, cut down X-Combat mast and X9 boom...and with Lecky Gayda's new 45l board that he hasn't even seen yet! Crazy fool..thanks BA! |

| Well late on Monday I received a text message to say it had been even windier to the point where it was basically unsailable, even with the 1.9m. Here are some of the pics sent that Tim took again - see sequences below. I thought you were nuts but now I really know you are...don't show Mum! |
| As the wind had swung around to the SW Rob was sailing this time at Goulane at the top end of Brandon Bay where the wind funnels down through the Conor Pass...in his words 'I have never seen anything like it in the 13 years out here...just sand spray and debris everywhere!' |
| You can just about see on some of the shots how even the water held back on the beach is just getting blown away. Rob said that shortly after the 1.9m went back in the van (rigged) after this sesh the wind strength increased further to the degree where trees were coming down...that's some statement considering how accustomed to the stuff this area of Ireland actually is! |
