I tried Walberswick on Saturday as when I set off it looked as though it might be a bit offshore at Hunny. It was hard work as the waves were rather messy and relentless so plenty of rinsings. It sounds as though I should have gone to Hunny after all.

On Sunday I went to Brogborough for an easier session though it was rather gusty. It was good for trying gybes on port tack - I didn't quite make any but I was getting close on some of them.

well i hope everyone had a cracker this weekend?? i can still hear the wind now. i bottled it today after a few drinks last night and the temp dropping a bit. I had a awesome session in Hunstanton sat after a slow start. couldn't get motivated but soon rigged my 4.5 and wave board and glad i did. What a rubbish last weekend. Going on the Friday forecast I opted for the Sunday for east Runton. Poped up there with the GF on Sat and it was nice cross shore. Only about 18mph and a big sea so would have been very bumpy on big kit. Sunday came and there was no wind so ended up washing the car

You do not want to be out at high tide as it is very choppy and messy water. I can only get out on Sunday this weekend so I hope the wind lasts longer this time. I'm inclined to go to Hunny and decide on Old or New depending on exactly what direction the wind is as the forecasts vary a bit as to how much N and E there is.

What is the sandbar like at Runton and when dŒs it work? What direction dŒs it need? I was lucky the one time I went there but it's a bit more of a trek for me.
